I was considering picking up a season ticket or flex pass, but I'm not really sure there is value in it?

I live in downtown Toronto and went to a ton of games last year (probably 30+) buying all of my tickets from stubhub.

500 level season ticket is clocking in around $800, 40 game flex $440. Bit concerned it would be cheaper just buying on stub hub.

I'd obviously not make every game.

Hasn't the season tickets hiked up substantially? Though they were cheaper last year?

The ball park pass would of been awesome, but I'm aware they've stopped selling them and some guy on the forum was already looking for $800 odd for it.

I'm thinking at the moment that waiting and cherry picking games (variety of cheap and top games) on stub hub would probably the best bet. Also means I don't need to pay up front.

Is there any major benefits to getting a flex? Other than guaranteeing seats for top games (Note: Never had an issue when yankes and sox come to town).

500 level tickets went up from $10 a ticket to $13 I think. The flex packs guarantee you first three rows up to 24 hours before weekday games, and 7 days before premium games.

There is also the 20 ticket pack. With this one you get 20 tickets, you can go to 20 games by yourself, 2 games with 9 friends (actually max of 6 per premium games, max of 4 for the opener). You can also add extra 20 packs up until June 30th.

My suggestion would be to get the 20 ticket pack, get 4 for the opener before they go on sale to the public and sell 2, 3 or all 4 (depending if you want to go). You pay for your entire 20 pack that way. Although they are going to the card system this year so you probably can't sell your opener tickets, unless you walk in with the people.

If you want to go to the premium games I would suggest getting the 20 ticket flex pack. If the majority of the games you go to are during the week and against not big market teams then you can get a discount on face value. Single game ticket prices will be increased this year too lets not forget.

You can transfer your tickets online and print them at home so you can still sell them that way.

Twenty ticket pack might be an option.

My main issue is, I'm down to see Jays nearly every day. But due to all my friends being Scottish or Irish guys or Canadian guys into only hockey.... I struggle to find people to go.

My girlfriend will go to 1 game a year max!

Does the 20 ticket pack give you some sort of in for playoff games? I don't even live in Toronto. That would be my only reason to buy it.

Yeah you get it before the general public but after full season ticket holders. Still pretty much guarenteed playoff priority.

You are treated like any season ticket holder and get first crack at these fantasy playoff games you speak of.

O.K. cool. I just saw that Flex Packs come in as little as 10. That would be good for someone like me who is just trying to setup the possibility of a trip to Toronto to possibly catch the first playoff game in over 20 years if that even happens.

Just know that for the playoff games, you have to buy tickets to the whole series. And they are pretty expensive.

So you can choose

Wildcard

ALDS

ALCS

World Series

I am sure you could get way more than face value if you sell the extra tickets you can't make. Last year the prices were like $40 for 500 level for playoffs. People would be selling them for over 100 on stubhub.

It's no longer on my Account Manager of course but this was the email I got for the playoffs this year. This is the email I got for buying group tickets (so that's another way you can be eligible for playoff tickets...be a group ticket leader if you come into Toronto)
