It's a terrible award, but I hope everyone remembers last year's debacle award of Face of the MLB.

 

Eric Sogard beat a bunch of people, including whiny Bautista (whom I still have unfollowed after his relentless spamming).

 

Thank god he lost to David Wright, although people claim it was a conspiracy to save the MLB from embarrassment.

There's no way in hell Eric Sogard gains momentum while being more recognizable players and then legit loses to David Wright. That was a sham, lol.

I guess but I like the idea of a journeyman getting this meaningless accolade rather than a superstar. I think the fans could actually get behind that too. It's fun. More fun than just giving it to David Wright.
