Would You sign Melky?

So I know a lot of the guys here with more knowledge then me are anti melky, they prefer to spend that money on say a hedley and akoi or trade for saunders. I get that but post Donaldson trade would you be willing to pay melky 40m or less on a three year deal? I may have a little bit of a bias but I think melky with his fitness could produce at around 3 war for 3 years. Am I crazy to prefer the slightly less optimal option financially for consistency and offense and sacrifice the runs on defense? whats is your optimal strategy for the blue jays to do for the rest of the off season with LF and 2B if you disagree.

I'm sure most of us would be willing to sing to Melky if he paid us 39M. even if he had to pay it out over 3 years.

I think those funds could be better allocated elsewhere. I'd look to go cheap in LF and sign Rasmus, and try and make a run for James Shields or Lester (pipedream).

I'd rather sign Nori Aoki who would provide similar value to Melky at a fraction of the cost and invest the savings into other areas for upgrades be it free agents or space for trades.

Rasmus is not going to play for the Blue Jays again. People need to realize this.
