After last years guys signing 1 year low deals and the way teams value draft picks does Melky accept the est 15.3 mil Qualifying offer.

Not much offense available and I expect AA to low ball him but other teams to give him a 4 year deal.

I'm not really sure the jays can afford him either. I expect an OF of Gose , Pompey and Bautista.

My fears are even Greater no Melky, no second baseman and all signings will be for the bullpen this offseason!

Leaving us with no other options but Bautista at third and lawrie at 2nd and a all young guns outfield of Pillar,Pompey and Gose as starters next year!

What if its a Pillar/Gose Platoon?

If its a platoon of Gose/Pillar in CF thats fine. If Pillar is the everyday RF or even CF no matter what moves they make the team will be hard to watch knowing they are wasting ABs on replacement players again.

lol no one voted yes.

He had a good year, so he obviously won't accept a QO offer. Most teams will offer 3-4 years, so there's almost no chance he takes a 1 year deal. If he gets hurt, or has a bad year, he would have sacrificed a lot of money.

Do I hope he does: Yes

Do I think he will: No

This may be his best chance to score something that will keep him in the life of luxury forever. It's risky on his part to take a one year deal even if it is for a higher per year salary.

Guy has already made $30 million in his career. I would say he's already set up for a life of luxury forever.

Is that after taxes, lawyer fees and agent fees?

I expect an outfield of Gose , Pompey, and Bautista with the 4th OF either Pillar or Mayberry. AA will talk about wanting to adding speed and defense and point to KC ,s success. If melky is resigned which i highly doubt I expect Lind to be moved for a bull pen piece
