Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Successes- Sanchez, Pompey, Sydergaard, Nicolino, Bryant, Nolin, Dyson. Failures- Everyone else. Do you believe that group of players that are successes are enough to make this draft an overall success? Edit: Bolded names have made their mlb debuts Edited October 11, 2014 by Atothe

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 What do you consider to be "successful"? None of those players have been successful yet except Sanchez as a reliever. And Nicolino kind of sucks. But he'll make it to the mlb I believe, as starter (spot or otherwise). I define success as making to the mlb.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Still too early...needs 5 years minimum for proper evaluation. Not with the criteria of just making to the mlb.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 "Kris Bryant" SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Besides who myself and King pointed out, who else will make the majors from that list?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Besides who myself and King pointed out, who else will make the majors from that list? McGuire still has a chance to make it as a long reliever. Same way you included Chad Jenkins in your 2009 poll. You failed to include Syndergaard, Nicolino, Wojciechowski and Bryant as well, or at least you didn't highlight their names.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Because those guys haven't played an mlb game yet Ok, I see. Like others have said, we'll have to wait a bit longer since guys like Bryant, Syndergaard plus a few others could make it next year. Hopefully, Brad Glenn and Ryan Goins have played their last MLB games from the 2009 list.

Edit: Bolded names have made their mlb debuts Jays 2nd best draft in years (#1 Hoffman, Reid-Foley, Pentecost, Thomas, Wells)
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 So how do you call them failures? Who are you talking about specifically because everyone I named in the success column did or is gonna make the majors. Everyone has the odds stacked against them.
