We regular posters forget this sometimes, but the are WAY more people lurking and reading but not posting than there are posters who sign in and contribute. Right now for example there are 30 people logged in and 140 people reading. By game time, those numbers will triple.

 

I'm often curious what they think. About the team. About the Jays front office. About the famous (and infamous) posters. About the board rules. About the moderation. About why they don't sign up and post. What would make them sign up. Etc.

 

What if we had a one day open forum where the lurkers can post anonymously and say whatever they want. Either here or a dedicated page on reddit or something. Has to be easy. Just go to the page and post without having to sign in. It will be a s*** show. Some people, including regular posters and trolls, will probably go there just to say idiotic stuff. But it still might be worth it just to get some input from the outside.

 

Thoughts? Let me know. If it seems like a good idea I'll talk to admin about how to make it happen.

What do I think about what goes on around here? Well for one, you guys are all crazy. Haha. But when you talk ball, there is a large number of knowledgeable fans here and discussion are usually pretty interesting. I find that most of the time my thoughts are covered by one or multiple posters here, so I tend to stay in the shadows. As for the soap opera stuff that goes on around here I find it hilarious how hypocritical people can be in that regard. Whether that be the Jays fanboys or the Rays clique you guys are really all the same once you get on that high horse. I also find it funny whenever GD or whomever refers to BTS as Queen BTS, reminding us not to take this s*** so seriously. LOL.

I don't post on the main forum or log in much anymore because of the constant derailing of threads by various members.

 

For example Moogy. A moderator has to ban Moogy already. All he ever does is try to start arguments, derail threads, and never contributes anything to a thread. That's my rant/

Lol. That forum was so bad, and now it's an absolute gutter.

 

It sucks now. Before I enjoyed it. More casual fans could post what they thought about how the Jays are playing. That's much more enjoyable than the debates about who's smarter that I read on here.

Well that's my worry too

 

Might be more successful the day free agency begins, spring training or first game next year? People would be more excited instead of the end of another failed season.

Would be an easy solution. Any regulars who post in the designated thread would get the post deleted if they're being a dick

Well yes. I took away from the OP that you would not need to sign in to post and thus no one would know who's who. So a regular could post there without signing in and no one would know he's not a lurker.
