Didn't Gibbons only just a few days ago say that Janssen would no longer close UNLESS the other options are unavailable ?

Why didn't we see Sanchez?

Janssen is a disaster waiting to happen every time he comes on the mound.

Why is Gibbons making decisions as if the Blue Jays were already playoff bound? I'm not sure what is more stupid, putting in the rookie against the Sox best batter or handing the ball to a washed-up closer again, lots of roulette going on.

Honestly never listen to anything Gibbons say's because whatever comes out of his mouth is normally pure BS....to be fair though Sanchez was not available to pitch.

Hope this loss just wakes up this team . The loss of Melky , the shitshow comedy of errors and the bad bullpen management should piss off every player and coach on that team.

we'll see

Maybe it'll make Navarro get in shape and become the greatest defensive catcher of all time, after all, that's all that's keeping him from reaching this level.

Oh and maybe Reyes will get in shape as well thus turning into Ozzie Smith 2.0 since we know the reason bad defensive players are bad is because they're in bad shape.

People hated cito yet under cito we reached 86 wins with a terrible rebuilding team and he was shown the door

I have said this a million times, but the last two times Rogers spent any money and the team had playoff aspirations, Gibbons was manager.

From 2006 to 2014, Gibby's record is 351-349.

From 2008-2010, Gaston was 211-201, even though the team wanted to lose in 2009 and 2010.

I know people are going to say managers don't matter and it's the talent that wins or losses, and that's true to some extent, but managers can have negative qualities that bring their teams down. Look what Buck Showalter is doing. Everyone has been waiting for the Orioles to decline since 2012 and it never happens.

If Gibbons is still manager next season, then rebuild. He's not going to take this team beyond .500, if that.

I honestly don't understand how a professional athlete can be in that bad of shape. You can blame Genetics all you want but ya he need's to really commit to his fitness this offseason.

The problem is I think AA and Gibbons are actually close and good friends. That is a serious problem. I think the firing has to come from the top.

Well, at least they're rebuilding the rotation with young arms rather than making another Josh Johnson style acquisition.

And at least Gibbons and Gaston had winning records.. John Farrell, who managed the Jays in 2011-12, and the Red Sox presently, is below .500 as a manager (154-170).. Boston should've kept Francona, because Farrell is one of the worst managers in the MLB. And Gaston left because he was retiring (he's 70 years old.), and the Jays wanted someone younger.

s***** s***** game last night

Janssen can't be trusted and I hope Gibby uses someone else to close the rest of the year

All is not lost but they need to win today and win another bunch immediately. No sulking. Just win.

I think Francona was available when the Blue Jays hired Gibbons. I wish Toronto could have gotten him instead. Gibbons' move last night to pinch run for Goins was one of many bone-headed moves that he has made this year. You know a manager's decisions are bad when just about everyone watching on TV realizes immediately that it doesn't make any sense.

I still don't understand why he didn't keep Morrow in for another inning.... he was pitching well and surely has the stamina to go longer. You save your BP arms for later and the possible extra innings

No I believe Francona was already signed by Cleveland that offseason, I know I was hoping the jays would sign him.

Because Gibbons is not a good manager. Its always been like that, it will always be like that.

He wasn't good then and he isn't good now.

Many many mental errors

Do you watch that show?

I'm a professional nerd, of course I watch that show (well, watched since the BBC decided that their best comedy since Red Dwarf didn't need any more seasons...)
