Hawkins Verified Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Would anyone even claim Reyes or MB?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I doubt it. The angels would be the most likely team but because of the Luxury Tax they wouldn't be able to afford Buehrle's salary next season.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I could see Detroit having interest in Reyes. Not that i think we would move him.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I doubt it since the Jays pulled the let Rios and his contract be assumed by the claiming team card years ago so I'd image a team would be afraid of them doing that with Reyes or even MB. At this point, even though MB is a decent middle rotation pitcher, his salary this year and next would basically be a salary dump for the Jays, especially Reyes and if a team wanted to acquire them probably wait for the offseason where if they can't agree they don't have to worry about assuming the remainder of the contract.

Buehrle is most likely going to be worth hi contract next season as long as he performs at this career rate.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Well, you might get your wish: Nick Cafardo @nickcafardo If you can take on 19 mill in 2015, Mark Buehrle could be added to avail SP before Aug. 31 when he clears waivers. Angels?

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 ^lol......... decreased velocity, aging, fatting CAREER 3.82 ERA NOT WORTH $19 MIL (And I don't care how many innings he pitches) Well if he pitched 215 innings with a 3.82 ERA he would be worth $19 million no matter how fat, old or slow his fastball is.
