RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Uh oh. What I am agreeing He is a middle of the rotation starter who has allowed 6 runs or more four times in his last seven starts In a pennant race Replace him with price and this team is 3-4 games out of the division. Can def see why rays weren't interested in Hutchinson.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Reyes + money to seattle for Taijaun,Pike and Taylor! Would this work ! Throw in Lind or Rasmus if they want! Hell I'd even give them dickey! All four and they include Ackley and Marte maybe! Discuss!

I'm sure Seattle is drooling a DH who can't hit lefties and a bad center fielder who has .280 obp and no speed
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Taijuan Walker for Jose Reyes no, bbbb no, that would not work
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 If trade one is workable then trade Joey B and buehrle to San Fran and get Blackburn, crick and Scutaro! Throw in kawa or tolleson What would that give us about close to 60 mill for the off season? Plus young arms for days!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Hey if you swap the players we're trading in trade 1 and trade 2 you get a little closer
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Taijuan Walker for Jose Reyes no, bbbb no, that would not work Damn it! Lol but why not even for all four? Does not the desire to win hold any value for seattle to go all in or for it carry no consideration from them?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Hey if you swap the players we're trading in trade 1 and trade 2 you get a little closer Make it sooo then! Done and done? Somebody wake AA let's make a deal. Who says trades are hard to do! Lol
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) So do you blame Hutchison when he went out and shutdown the Orioles in a must win in division games earlier this month? Every starter is going to have their good and bad days. Hutch is inconsistent but he shouldn't be blamed when he is a middle of the rotation type starter and has been exactly that. That's exactly it though, he's so enigmatic and that's the source of my frustration. He will be dynamic and only give up a handful of hits one game and then get the holy living s*** kicked out of him the next. Perhaps I'm not the best guy to discuss this with because I'm not Hutch's biggest fan and find him infuriating but ultimately like everyone else I give him a pass because he's coming off TJ surgery and extended time off, he's only 23, etc, etc. But if he's still pulling this Jekyll/Hyde routine a few years from now it will absolutely be inexcusable, at some point he's going to have to figure out within himself what works and what doesn't to find a level of consistency as a big league pitcher. I mean everyone has good and bad days and gets knocked around here and there but I've never seen someone who's so polarizing from start to start. Edited August 18, 2014 by jays76

I would've traded Hutchison, Sanchez, and Nolin yesterday for 2yrs of pennant drives led by Price (and yes the Rays actually were interested in Hutch, they asked for one of Hutch or Stro to headline a package along with Sanchez+)

GNick49 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 If Jays are out of race by Aug 31.st, Buehrle for Beckham be good trade for both clubs
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 If Jays are out of race by Aug 31.st, Buehrle for Beckham be good trade for both clubs ? Why would the white sox want Buehrle and his salary? Why would the Jays want a replacement level player in Beckham?
GNick49 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 ? Why would the white sox want Buehrle and his salary? Why would the Jays want a replacement level player in Beckham? Jays do it to free up some money for off season and they always liked Beckham. Sox do it to bring Buehrle home for his swansong and he is best pitcher they can add without giving up much as free agent starting pitcher market is thin this winter.
