That's a huge if. Could be possible but any team making the claim would know that's a possibility and the Jays pulled a similar move prior with Rios to get out under a contract. if anyone wants Reyes they'd wait until the off season to discuss it so they have more time and can negotiate salary being paid unless he cleared waivers and a team wants to talk. I highly doubt it considering he's owed $22M a year for the next 3 years. A team would have to give up some nice prospects to have th Jays take on part of the salary.
