Another winnable game lost. Another series loss. Nothing new in Jays land haha

That wasn't a winnable series by any means. Have you even seen the Mariners pitching?

To anyone who thought I said there was no pitching for the Mariners besides Iwakuma and King Felix.. I never said that. It was the offense that was an issue.. but it seems to have improved with the acquisitions of Denorfia, Morales, and Jackson.

We aren't the only team suffering.. thanks to the Mariners win, the Tigers are now in real danger of falling out of the playoff race as well, falling into a tie with the Seattle Mariners, who they play this weekend, and the Mariners are only 1 down in the loss column on the Tigers as well.

And, thus, we have an entire generation who don't understand baseball because of advanced statistics. Ruining the game.

Well, in their defense, they probably don't play sports and don't understand sports consist of more than 1 stat. Otherwise, there would be no need for scouts or anyone to even watch the game.

My favourite arguments against advanced stats is the usual "just enjoy the game". Moogy slows down a pitchers stride and watches it to analyze it...but mentally noting that there are a lot of hard hit balls that the defense saved the pitcher on, is somehow not enjoying the game. I like scouting players, I should say I like scouting hitters (don't know enough about pitchers to truly scout them), I like advanced stats, and I love to watch a f*** tonne of baseball (that is the actual number of baseball games I watched last season). I am not an anomaly, most hardcore fans are similar to me. I say to each their own and do your best at educating the less educated on the stuff you understand best.

I thought Moogy's point was more that he thought the whole "fielding independent" approach was flat out erroneous but he can better clarify his position than I can.

It was more of a statement about his "advanced stats ruining the game". Baseball can be enjoyed no matter what aspect you pay close attention to. I personally don't get the guys that watch a ground ball pitcher induce a ground ball that gets through the hole and say "f*** he sucks, why is he in" but I don't harp on them ruining the game or my enjoyment.

Once again the Jays show that they simply cannot win in massive stadiums.

No HR = no win

At least Juan made it close with that 2 out double to left center in the 8th. What a waste of talent he is. Dude can be a monster

I can't wait until the team starts over after the season. As much as I hate the idea of trading Bautista and Edwin while they are so affordable, management messed up big time with this roster. We are an 85 win team and it's not 85 with a bullet.

Trade with the Cards to get Taveras, or even the Dead Sox to get Owens, Betts, etc. Start from scratch. This core is done.

If every hitter in the lineup flied out to a leaping CF over the fence that would be a no hitter and a shutout.

We both know it would never happen, but a no hit shutout win is the definition of shutting a team down. What the f*** is wrong with you?

This was definitely worth the visit. Lmfao what a dumbass.
