jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It is just me or does it seem like umps always call that outside pitch a strike against Rasmus?
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 LOL,maybe it would improve his defense. I doubt it could hurt his defense. When his shoulder "hurt" he seemed to be more accurate.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 not enough right handed bats as buck says leads to a certain loss vs price. Even a mediocre lefty can shut down the jays
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It is just me or does it seem like umps always call that outside pitch a strike against Rasmus? I've noticed, then again maybe I'm just paying more attention to it, that anything within an inch or two on the outside Rasmus gets called out on more often than not.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It is just me or does it seem like umps always call that outside pitch a strike against Rasmus? If the catcher sets up a bit outside and reaches in to receive it, that pitch seems like a strike every time. Doubly so if the pitcher is a lefty. On the bright side, Casey gets that call routinely.
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 They were clean his but that's what Buehrle does (pitch to contact)... you can't really blame Buehrle as much as you can blame Reyes For sure that's his game and I get it but it's the frustration factor involved. It always seems like when it rains it pours with Buehrle, how many times have you seen 3+ consecutive hit meltdowns this year. He just can't seem to adjust & keep it together on the mound when the pressure starts mounting..
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Game over Lol it's a little early.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Reyes is useless in the filed
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 "looks like a double play ball" - Buck. Sorry Buck, Jose Reyes is our shortstop.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Dammit At least he layed out for it but...
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Lol it's a little early. it's price and he's getting gift calls.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 LOL....omg...that was a "sorta" tough chance to his left but the ball was right there....when Mark B is pitching Reyes just has to make that play....especially when you f***ed up so badly in the 1st.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Can Reyes f*** off already!! POS needs to DIAF

The error is irrelevant after it happens - it in no way affects the pitches that need to be thrown. All that matters is two on, two out.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It is just me or does it seem like umps always call that outside pitch a strike against Rasmus? the ump must have a sense that he isn,t going to hit it anyway.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 This is all on Reyes. He's an unearned runs machine
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Can Reyes f*** off already!! POS needs to DIAF I'm starting to like that idea of him, his knee and a lead pipe.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 MB from our best pitcher to a guy who you hold your breath on getting out of the 4-5th inning. Do they take turns being liabilities and not being able to go to the 5th or 6th without giving up the lead?

Buehrle has pitched very well today.

JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 where is Tanya Harding when you need her? Wasn't she on a reality TV show not too long ago?
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Run prevention is about much more than just the pitcher. Buehrle has pitched very well today. Very true. Today it's been the fielding that sank MB namely one guy coming up with an error at the wrong time.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It's OK Reyes just needs 8 hits per game to make up for his defense
