ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 For the simplicity of this exercise, 7/10 last starts have been quality starts. What makes you disagree? Stroman struggled in ST. This meant he sucks, 7/10 QS don't erase his ST struggles...not to mention his struggles as a reliever.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 ...98 mph fastballs aren't supposed to move like that
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 By the way, Lawrie's lucky the turf didn't injure his ankle or knee on that turn at 1B.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 f***, up in the zone, hang in there kid.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Solid comeback, he just needs to learn from his mistakes.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Good rebound Sanchez. Man Buehrle has been pretty f***ing terrible.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Filthy inning. He gave up a homerun to one of the best power hitters in the game, s*** happens.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It's a bad question, to begin with. Reliability can't be established over smaller samples. And, as the season ... And his season ... Has progressed, he's had a higher frequency of absolute stinkers (not just some tough 5.2 inning, 4 ER types of showings). So even if you were to bastardize the term over small samples, he's still not meeting the threshold. So then you shouldn't be telling me he hasn't been reliable, correct?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Alright let's get a couple here. Top of the order is up.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 f***, up in the zone, hang in there kid. Exactly. Looks like he throws a hard and heavy sinker, but when he leaves it up, it's gonna get hit, like your typical sinkerballer.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Filthy inning. He gave up a homerun to one of the best power hitters in the game, s*** happens. Agreed. And he went after him, rather than pussy foot around like Buehrle had all game.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Filthy inning. He gave up a homerun to one of the best power hitters in the game, s*** happens. he hung one pitch up and it got smashed. he was really good in his locating of everything else.
