Jays: Toronto scored 12 runs with Dickey on the mound during a stretch where he lost six of seven but posted a 3.54 ERA. That lack of support ended when the Blue Jays scored five runs while Dickey allowed four in six innings of a 6-4 victory over Boston on July 23. They then gave the right-hander plenty to work with while he yielded a run, three hits and struck out 10 in seven innings of a 14-1 rout at Fenway Park on Monday. Toronto averaged 6.2 runs and 10.9 hits while winning 11 of 13 before its winning streak ended with six hits during a 3-1 loss Friday. Navarro is batting .352 with 13 RBIs over his last 18 games and .342 in 11 career contests at Minute Maid Park. Astros: Oberholtzer went 0-6 with a 5.68 ERA in his first seven starts before being sent down to the minors for the first time this season. Since then, he's 3-1 with a 3.15 ERA over his last seven outings, which were interrupted by two more trips to Triple-A Oklahoma City. The left-hander allowed three runs in 6 2-3 innings of a 7-3 victory over Oakland on Monday to improve to 2-0 with a 2.39 ERA in four home starts after going 0-3 with a 9.64 ERA there. He's completed at least six innings in eight straight outings overall. Houston's Gregorio Petit hit his first career homer to break a 1-all tie in the eighth Friday. The infielder is 4 for 13 with two RBIs in four games since he was recalled from the minors to see his first major league action since 2009 with Oakland. Houston's Jose Altuve went 1 for 4 a night after his 12-game hitting streak ended during Thursday's 6-5 loss in the series opener. He's batting an AL-leading .339 but is 0 for 10 against Dickey. Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Looking for more people to compete in the home run contest!! Still playoff spots up for grabs for those who haven't played yet this year! (only takes a second to make a pick) http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/2147-Blue-Jays-Home-Run-Contest-2014/page245

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Wtf, at least put Rasmus in instead of Gose!!! John Gibbons has completely lost it. Gibby be mad at Rasmus.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Gibby be mad at Rasmus. Yup, that's probably what is happening. Showing the kid who is boss.
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 our lineup looks much better vs lefties, high expectations for today Let's hope Dickey keeps the bedsheets clean tonight.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Honestly, expect Dickey to give up one or 2 homeruns to righties. But expect the Jays to hit a few too. Ultimately the bats will decide this one!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Lets Go Blue Jays!!!!!!!!!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Reyes hustles thats 3 easily.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 You'd think with how long that was up in the air that it would be an easy triple...oh well good start.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 what a f***ing bunt by MELKY great
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Beautiful bunt, and definitely didn't look like a sacrifice at all, good idea.
North of 60 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Should have been a triple, but that f*** up looks like it helped...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Pitch tracker is drunk I think the catcher slapped badly at both of those pitches, nothing wrong with the Pitch tracker.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Pitch tracker is drunk Thats what poorly caught balls will do to you.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Nicely hit by Reimold, and he gets the job done.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Marisnick looks so good in CF. Much like Gose in that he glides around.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Bautista patetic with a guy on third again! Reimold with the professional at bat
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Marisnick looks so good in CF. Much like Gose in that he glides around. He really does, covers a lot of ground out there.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 3rd straight game we have a run in the first inning I think.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Meh, the inning could've been more, and wow look at Reyes f***ing jogging around the bases, are you serious dude?
