GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Kenny Ken says not the Dodgers. Methinks Pirates.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Why do the Cardinals need him? they already have 6 or 7 decent starters. My guess is either they think someone is hurt or to flip one of those starters to a desperate team either in the next couple hours or sometime in August.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm interested to see what the return is. I'm not very interested.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Why do the Cardinals need him? they already have 6 or 7 decent starters. Tsunami RP, Wacha injured, Garcia injured, Kelly semi-injured, Miller s*** right now.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Looks like they expect Wacha to be injured for a lot longer and/or they don't like Miller in the rotation and his immaturity issues. Miller could very well stick in the bullpen or be used in another trading piece.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Peter Gammons Sox get Kelly, Craig for Lackey Wut?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Joe Kelly, Allen Craig going back
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Yikes. This one I DON'T like for us (but Craig going to Fenway is AWESOME for my fantasy team).
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 seems a bit underwhelming at face value I think?
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Red Sox are owning the day. Great return.
Lawrie22 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 God damn this is a great trade for the Red Sox. The are losing a lot of pitching today but have also acquired some great offence in cespedes and Craig. Their corner outfield is set for next season.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Great offense? Allen Craig having a horrendous year and they are gonna be banking that it's an outlier. It's just a bunch of meh traded for meh and meh

And with a 99% chance that Lester comes back to them next season... holy s***
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I like this for the Red Sox. It seems like they are winning the trade deadline so far by a large margin.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Holy f***, the Sox just raped in both trades.
Davie Verified Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Christ what are Oakland and St.Louis doing. Boston wont be down for long if they keep ripping off other teams like this.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm fine with this for St. Louis. Lackey's going to make the minimum next year! That's extremely valuable. And I don't think Allen Craig is very good.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I like Cepedes and Craig in Fenway but I wonder if Craig is healthy?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Is this really so terrible for St-Louis? Is the upgrade from Kelly to Lackey not worth Craig?
