o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 we should expect "when was the last time Bautista played first" to be on the test, since they mention it every half inning. broken record that is Buck Martinez
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Buck sounds like an intellectually challenged adult.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 People are still watching the Bluejays seriously? What's the point behind your question? I will humour you anyway, I am still watching the Jays and I am sure there are others doing the same. Now my turn to ask a question a nonsensical question. Were you trying to be funny, are you seriously stupid, or are you just practicing to be stupid?
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 This team makes me laugh, one run yet again? 3 runs in 4 f***ing games? While the good teams makes moves to make themselves better and more competitive, our GM sits there with his thumb up his ass and watches his team plummet back towards .500. What then? We go from leading the division by 5 games to being sellers? Instead of making a move to solidify their position, they just stand pat and watch a team that had a chance to win the division fade into mediocrity......what a great organization this is.

No way you can score runs with this current s***** lineup without EE and Lawrie. Unless they make a real move to get a REAL bat in the next 2 weeks (not like Gillespie), you can expect us to be sellers at the deadline.

None of the teams look like contenders either.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I'd like to see Buck and Tabby mention that the Jays haven't beat a Lefty since May 26th.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 LOL another guy who cant hit or play D?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 We will be 2 games back of first place after today yikes. It doesn't matter. The issue is the way the team is playing and the injuries. If the team gets some help (Prado/Headley), and gets relatively healthy, it'll have a chance. Big IFs, of course.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 But the Jays HAVE made moves to BETTER themselves! They've made waiver claims and added AAAA players who have less value than if they didn't even put a player on the field! I know things are easier said than done and you don't want to piss away prospects from a depleted system but they were leading the division by a decent margin only to go into a tailspin, and are heading to 3rd place. Name any other team that would have the expectations of the post season in a "3 year window," get off to the start they did, after paying the price to bring in the "talent" on the ML roster only to watch the ship sink. It's as if they're going to sit back, blame injuries yet again, claim that the deals didn't come along because the prices were too high, even though other teams took less for similar deals, didn't have money, the other GM(s) just wanted certain players, blah blah blah. I don't know what's worse:watching other teams continue to make moves, come back from near death to take a shot at the playoffs while standing pat and sinking, or if the Jays just didn't lead the division, were floating around the border of the wild card but no real shot at making it? There is a lot of time left but what's the point if we're going down with injuries to compliment needing extra offense and starters? It's as if the Jays are contractually obligated make it look like they're within sprinting distance and then just roll over.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 If the team is not going to trade for help soon and it continues to flounder, I think AA should see what the market is for Dickey and if a decent offer is made, just bite the bullet.
