Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes I know, but after one 15 day stint you can designated him again to another 15 day stint But... there is absolutely no point in doing so, so why would you?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Its a 15 DAY dl. So if it is a minor injury, it will be 15 days, but it look like to me he will go on the 15 day dl for at least 2 stints wow...you can tell that without reading an mri report....lol
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes I know, but after one 15 day stint you can designated him again to another 15 day stint If he goes beyond 15, it's not considered a second stint.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 But... there is absolutely no point in doing so, so why would you? looool
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Hitting for power is a thing, which he doesn't do, and needs to in order to justify being called up. Give me a f***ing break. He's a middle infielder who bats at the bottom of the line up and plays GG calibre defence at 2B and you're claiming he shouldn't be here because of his lack of power? Thank God we have Ryan Sandberg currently playing second base for us.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I wasn't complaining about MB, just s***** luck. Are you JP Arencibia?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Excellent observation! Thanks, I'm good at this!
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes. DL days are days, not "business days". Been watching baseball for 30 years and somehow never bothered to look into that.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Not sure why you are attacking me - I couldn't find them. Link me. I'm using my phone at the moment.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Buck hitting the sauce hard tonight, there should be a Breathalyzer on his mic or he can't broadcast
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes. DL days are days, not "business days". They are business days though! The season is 182 days long. Players get paid by the day, not the game.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Been watching baseball for 30 years and somehow never bothered to look into that. 60 day DL ticks off during the off season, right? And it's specifically "days" as opposed to suspensions which are "games"
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 44 wRC+ though. s***** BABIP luck this year though..
North of 60 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 With EE out, this lineup is gonna look ugly. AA needs to start making calls to other GM's to get a bat instead of ordering pizza.
labadee Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 60 day DL ticks off during the off season, right? And it's specifically "days" as opposed to suspensions which are "games" 3K!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 They are business days though! The season is 182 days long. Players get paid by the day, not the game. Yes, but the DL ticks off during spring training and the off season as well.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 s***** BABIP luck this year though.. you gotta be a relative
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 s***** BABIP luck this year though.. Not even a .350 BABIP would make his line look good though. That's what makes his career 45 wRC+ so fascinating. It's hard to be that bad with a just-below-average BABIP (.267).
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 s***** BABIP luck this year though.. For the nth time, low BABIP doesn't always mean bad luck, if you don't hit the ball hard your BABIP is not going to look pretty!
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Guys im f***ing drunk at a party and I just saw that EE was injured.... f*** no.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes, but the DL ticks off during spring training and the off season as well. DL doesn't apply in the off-season but I do believe you can retro-date DL stints to spring training.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I haven't been to this thread in over 100 days and your still preaching the same garbage? You are incredibly persistent, stubborn, and stupid, lol. I bet you have a mullet too. You're a waste of f***ing time. Kawasaki / Tolleson forever.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 DL doesn't apply in the off-season but I do believe you can retro-date DL stints to spring training. 60 day DL applies (40 man issues...)
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Guys im f***ing drunk at a party and I just saw that EE was injured.... f*** no. Just keep drinking, buddy.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 All you can do is laugh at this point. Baseball gods clearly hate us.
