JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 seems like the jays are out of focus. Playing worse than normal here.... AA needs to do something soon to send a message that it's not over. In an ideal world he would. Hell, even a mediocre one he would. But this is AA. He now has the injury excuse to work with again. He'll claim that the injuries were too great, we had too many holes and the trade prices were too high even if no one was hurt. We'll regroup and get them next year! I can hear him already.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Unless you have Randy Ruiz power don't be swinging for the fences at the coliseum
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Goins to SS, Reyes to LF, Melky to 1B? I know you're joking, but if we don't call up Johnson we could consider moving JB to 1st. Might help protect his leg for a week or two.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 LOL. Could your Goins fanboy-ism be any more apparent? Nope.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 If EE went on the DL, I'd probably just play Lind everyday at 1B and not even bother with Dan Johnson.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Hmm, it might not be his knee afterall. After he starts to fall in pain, both legs take his full weight at least once which would indicate more of a muscle strain rather then a pulled/torn ligament. I only saw it once and it looks to me like a leg injury.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Dude, he has a 75 wRC+ and a .044 ISO as a 26 year old in AAA. He should be on this team, he's a major league hitter. Yeah but with his Alomar-esque defense he doesn't have to hit to prove his worth!!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Right quad strain. That's a relief.. but it might not be a bad idea to just shut him down until after the All-Star break and get someone like Dan Johnson for a few days. Still, very concerning.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Is quad strain DL-worthy or day-to-day?

Check his stats versus RHP big mouth. That's all he'll see here, so his overall wRC+ doesn't mean s***. His defence alone should have him here as a bench piece at least.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Radio people saying Edwin has "quadriceps soreness Dare I hope that it's fairly minor? That's probably the best thing it could have been.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 even if it is a dl stint...5 of the next 15 days are off days...so it could be worse..
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Fantastic news, bullet dodged. I thought you were confident it was a Achilles tear?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Is quad strain DL-worthy or day-to-day? they will have to do scan to see the damage. it will depend on what they find.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Is quad strain DL-worthy or day-to-day? I would guess it would depend on how serious it is... Hopefully it's short term. Glad it's a quad, and not a knee or ankle.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 THANK GOD!!! This is a season-saver.
Convo Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Congrats to Balt on winning the division
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 So, any info on our latest waiver claim? Never even heard the name.

Convo Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Not sure people realize Edwin could still be out for 5-6 weeks
