I hate to be an over react guy, but I'm worried EE may be out for awhile. He took quite a shot to the head. Worst case concussion. Also worry about strained neck

Looked bad, but I think Tex got him with a meatier area of his arm, so it made the blow less harsh to EE's head. If it was a hit by the elbow, it would have been a no doubt concussion. He's very fortunate.

I'll admit, it worries me a bit that he hadn't realized he had drawn a walk. Hopefully he's okay in a medical sense, not just a Blue Jays sense.

I'm sure they tested him on the field for concussion. If so, everything is ok.

You never know with concussions. That's why some sports leagues make it mandatory that a player leaves the game after a head injury. Just because EE knew what day it was and displayed motor ability after getting hit does not mean he's concussion-free.

"Concussion test" is an oxymoron.

I still think Tex could have done a better job to avoid him. The ball was nowhere near the play.

he had to touch first base to make it official, he was not to blame

Agreed. Tex did nothing wrong and had the right to the baseline.

Reyes cannot keep doing this. That play almost cost us the game and arguably our best player.

horrible throw and tough play for Ed, but to say Tex did nothing wrong is a bit of a stretch. he doesn't have to follow through with his left arm. watch Wilko's gif. Tex turns left shoulder into Ed.

my neck hurts just watching that.... ouch!

bluebirdbanter had a good small article about this. I'm actually worried E5 is just toughening up. He showed plenty of signs his head wasn't in the game.
