Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Come on guys it couldn't have been that good. Tell me it wasn't that good ridiculously satisfying
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 22 Jump Street Super overrated. A few funny moments but I don't really recommend. GF got tired of me spending my nights screaming at the TV so I pretty much had to set up a date night. With all due respect, you f***ed up. I appease my woman too, but I do not interfere with Jays matters. Shame, shame on you.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Come on guys it couldn't have been that good. Tell me it wasn't that good I'm sad for you. Probably the greatest of your lifetime.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Not to nitpick, but you probably mean that the team last year was terribly unlucky and injured. After all, it's basically the same team minus JJ, JPA and Bonifacio, plus Hutchison, Navarro and a couple of others. Better health has helped. JPA was forced on him as the number 1. Bonifacio was forced into the lineup because AA had trouble accepting that he made a mistake. especially after saying Bumfiasco was the key to the whole trade. The team went with a 3 man bench way too much last year as well. Fransisco being used in a platoon with any righty has been a huge success. using 3 catchers to get the right match ups has been very good. I really think Navarro got an innings guarantee. No way he should be behind the plate more than Kratz. that is taken out of Gibbons hands. AA has done that to every manager since he came. his signing promises are ********. gibbons is trying very hard to play the hot hand and has done very well accept for a couple times he has left a pitcher in a little too long to try to get them the W. most of the time his moves have been spot on.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 WTF did I miss tonight? I f***ing go to the movies and we're down 8-0 W T F Hope you enjoyed Channing Tatum's abs. You missed a barn burner comeback for the ages.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I'm sad for you. Probably the greatest of your lifetime. I literally spent the entire time that I've spent with her this week cursing out umpires and the Jays' inability to hit with RISP. Bad timing but the thought process was correct.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 For everyone who believes in momentum and "turning points," here it was! Can't ask for a better potential "turning point" than this game.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 This was literally the greatest Blue Jays game I have ever followed. Didn't get to see a lot of the middle innings for various reasons, may re-watch tomorrow lol

OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 He isn't even the worst athlete on the team! At least no one is referred to as "Jumbo"...... Thank god McDade flamed out.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Don't get me wrong, I like Gibbons, but tell me you didn't pick last year's team to contend and please be honest. yes... I thought they had a better team. Bonifacio was never going to be great, but I did expect more from JJ and Dick. the injuries did play a big part for sure. but that's not on Gibbons. he did the best he could with nothing. healthy and most of the team performing has given options. last year he basically had the starting lineup and the back end of the pen. MB was the pitcher who was good, but not much more to work with.

Also, AA had no problem with moving Lawrie to 2B to put Francisco in the lineup even though Lawrie wasn't fully on board, but AA you're telling me AA is preventing Gibbons from starting Kratz over Navarro even though AA said he overpaid Navarro? Listen, who got Francisco and Kratz? I'm not even disagreeing with you, just saying that you make it seem as if last year's team was s*** and you knew it all along when we know you predicted they'd at least contend.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Kawasaki may be the leagues worst athlete.... But the CLUTCH is strong In he. reyes is much worse.... Navarro is not on the radar of the word athlete.

It wasn't Gibbons' fault the team tanked, but the team didn't tank because the team had nothing. I just view it as one of those seasons where everything went wrong and not much could've prevented it.

vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 It was satisfying. From the moment of 8-0, thinking *sigh* here we go again.. To Juan's pinch hit home run. Just all of the whole game. Amazing! It was just so damn improbable. Even when they made it a one-run game, which was already amazing, there was still that whole "s***, can they seriously tie it up?" Then when that happened, we're all "oh f***, but now it's Chapman..." And then they take the lead, and we're like "give us one damn insurance run!" and they do. Then there's the greedy "ok, pile it on now" and Edwin homers again. Then Janssen once again reminds us why we'd all have his babies. Ah, such an insanely amazing game.

Man, I'd laugh if I hadn't lost my manlyhood myself....LOL....women ARE the root of all evil!
