Dickey's xFIP: 4.46

 

Our very own JFaS has done a study on the Dickey effect. It's a thing. Also, Dickey a.) has a higher ceiling and floor of performance b.) higher salary and c.) you destroy his value sticking him in the pen. Also, durability is a skill and Dickey has it. Happ gets injured more often than Dickey.

 

We know Happ is bad, but Dickey can be better than this. No reason to bump a guy who's at least gonna give you 200 IP of okay baseball.

I'll wait until tomorrow to judge him, because tonight is definitely his most important start to date and will be looked back on for years to come.
