Jays: Happ was charged with a season-high six runs and nine hits in 7 2-3 innings Friday in a 6-1 defeat to Kansas City. The left-hander has given up at least four runs in three of his six starts this season. He's yielded a total of one run in his other three. The Blue Jays, winners in 18 of 22 and 10 of 11 on the road, are batting .301 over a 13-2 stretch with 25 homers and 89 runs. Bautista is batting .457 with 11 RBIs during a 10-game hitting streak. After struggling in recent visits to Detroit, the red-hot Toronto Blue Jays are on the verge of their first sweep there in 11 years. They had dropped six of seven at Comerica Park heading into their only trip there this season. Tigers: Verlander has a 1.32 ERA in his last five starts against the Blue Jays and pitched seven scoreless innings in his only matchup last season, an 11-1 win in Toronto on July 4. The right-hander appeared to get closer to regaining that dominant form in Friday's 6-3 win in Seattle. He gave up three runs and five hits while striking out seven over 7 2-3 innings. He was 1-2 with an 8.31 ERA and seven strikeouts in his prior three starts. Detroit is trying to avoid its first five-game losing streak since April 22-27, 2012, and its first home sweep to Toronto since Sept. 16-18, 2003. The Tigers are 2-8 in Detroit since May 8, and have lost 12 of 16 overall. Their pitchers have a 6.01 ERA in the past 16 games. Detroit went 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position while leaving 11 on base Wednesday. The Tigers are 2/19 (.105) with runners in scoring position in the past four games. Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 This game is a bonus. If we win, great. If we don't, onto St. Louis.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I don't think were going to win this... but I also thought this team would win 79 games all season. So I don't have a clue.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 This game is a bonus. If we win, great. If we don't, onto St. Louis. we should try to win every game. Verlander is not the ace he used to be, since 2012 his WHIP is above 1.3. He gives baserunners now,
DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 beat em while they're down!!!! les go blue heyz
labadee Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I have a bad feeling about this. Please prove me wrong, Happ.
labadee Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I don't care how they do it, but the Jays need to get to Verlander either by knocking him out on runs or pitchcount early on. The tigers don't have a great bullpen right now. Everyone needs to pick up their game since EE is out
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Chance to sweep a series vs Tigers while facing Verlander and feel like it's actually possible that they could do it? This is NOT your 2013 Blue Jays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 This is also not your older brother's Justin Verlander Hopefully he has at least one more shaky start
Buster Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 who is this Hugh guy doing pre=game interviews. Brutal.
sdyment Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 13-11 Jays. Both starters out by the 4th.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I would have never believed Comerica,s park factor would be a plus, always thought of it as a pitchers park. thx for the info Fatcow. Happ hasn't been near as bad as I thought he would be. Hats off to walker for getting him there. On the other hand Verlander has been hittable this year. still very good but not the CY Young pitcher he has been. Happ,s last start would have been a quality one but for his error and Gibby making him take one for the BP. I have been hugely critical of Happ but hard for me to continue that as he has been an OK 5th starter. not great but not terrible. Hoping to keep STREAKING !!
NotATroll Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Go Happ! Even though he has the type of face and eerie stare of a bonafide serial killer. You know he has at least 10 women locked up in a basement somewhere in Scarborough.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Go Happ! Even though he has the type of face and eerie stare of a bonafide serial killer. You know he has at least 10 women locked up in a basement somewhere in Scarborough. Welcome bro!!

BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Happ has actually been terrible this year, and he is actually having the worst year of his career.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Happ has actually been terrible this year, and he is actually having the worst year of his career. what? He actually isn't. His years with the astros have been worse.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Anyone hear anything? no idea but they say its precautionary so he might be
NotATroll Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Brilliant first post, may your children see endless wealth[/Quote] I don't think they let guys like me (or Happ) adopt. And I have a better chance at Powerball than I do at getting the chance to impregnate a female. Thanks for kind words though!

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Verlander can't stop this offensive without K guys.
