His problem is that he tries to swing at garbage high and inside.

He's pretty overrated. 105 wRC+ since his first game as a Blue Jay (695 PAs). Defense hasn't been great.

 

It's nothing special and he's getting paid like a stud.

He's just a guy. Everyone expecting batting champ Jose Reyes or 78 steals Jose Reyes will continue to be sorely disappointed. He's an average hitter with an average overall defensive profile.
