Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 How many is that this month? 16 I think; 17 is record. 20 is record for highest across any month.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Huge inning here for the pen. Quick inning please. Is Janssen available?
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 That's true. But he WAS coming off a CY Young season where he lost what? 5 times? With an ERA under 3? I'm not expecting him to be Roy' date=' but I do expect him not to s*** the bed when the team has won 9 in a row, and he's facing the weakest hitting team in the league.[/quote'] He gets unbelievable scrutiny because some people simply do not like the knuckleball. Fact is, other top 3 starters have average seasons all the time, and they do blow up once or more a month. Look at Shields today, gave up a bunch of homeruns on few hits, are people on the Royals forum now telling him to pack his bags? Gibbons is an idiot though for failing to recognize that RA can get rattled, and when he does, hes not likely to recover. If the bullpen is available, use it. Its not because he is a knuckleballer that he has to throw 120+ pitches every time out. Not getting pulled in time puts him at a disadvantage vs "traditional" pitchers who are on a much shorter leash.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Rasmussen? Probably for 1 batter again? LOL Gets the K!

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Is there seriously no accountability for umpires and their strike zone awareness? I know #roboumps is a pipe dream, but shouldn't umpires being terrible result in like... some sort of punishment? suspension? firing? SOMETHING to make these fat f***s accountable for their utter terribleness?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Rasmussen throws 95? Damn son

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 16 I think; 17 is record. 20 is record for highest across any month. Edwin still put himself in the record books with that blast: http://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_hr3.shtml Most home runs for an American League player in May (tied with Mantle)
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 C'mon Reyes, you have to make that play.
