JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Good for Beckett hes had his ups and downs over the last few years. But hiw about them Blue Jays folks? 7 games over .500!!
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Tomorrow will be a challenge with Rays all so high and mighty.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 And yeah Casey deserves major props. His return was really what sparked this huge turnaround.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Tomorrow will be a challenge with Rays all so high and mighty. Yes, but we're a tougher team than the Red Sox. And we're facing a near washed-up Bedard tomorrow. Cobb and Archer could be tough, but Archer does have issues going deep into games..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Bench clearing brawl in Tampa.. Escobar is ticking the Red Sox off.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 The importance of Janssen cannot be understated. Does Santos go 7/7 in converting those save opportunities? He probably blows at least 2 of them.

He probably blows at least 2 of them. How could anyone even argue with that? He is a stabilizing force the last 3 years. His aggressive quality strike throwing quick working style and intense compete level has to drive up everyones confidence up that if they can just get ANY lead to the 9th they can win. I could give a rats ass about the solo shot Dustin gave up. Id rather see him go right after guys with a 3 run lead than nibble away BBing guys. That's the CJ effect. He knows he has to hand him any lead and we have a high probability of winning.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Bluejays are playing some great ball. Only thing i could see happening that could end the winning streak would be fatcow not making the GDT.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Can't wait till Santos takes McGowan's job. I can wait.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I lost my first game of the season
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Can't wait till Santos takes McGowan's job. Reported for having a picture with Arencibia in a Jays Jersey.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Happy mothers day Ang! Thanks man. I spent a happy day my mother's side.
shortstop Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 CJ is the stabilizing force in the bullpen. He let's others settle into their roles & his ability to close out games gives everyone confidence. I hope he's resigned for 2-3 years. This team plays better with a chip on their shoulder - I hope this doesn't get to their heads. Rays are a big test for the basic reason they've had the jays # over the years...
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I wouldn't mind going to one of the Rays games during the week. Likely Tuesday I could go down.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Cobb vs MB on Tuesday. I know Watch Dogs comes out that day ugh, but thats a good pitching matchup to pass on!

lactosefree Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 My first time going to a game and glad that it was a win for our Blue Jays. Hope we keep this up!

labadee Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 It's great to see Pillar finally feeling comfortable at the dish. Hopefully he can maintain it. Not a fan of him going in for the out when he's been waved off. It's the second time this series he's done that. He could've caused a collision or a dropped ball. He needs to stay back when waved off

That's one of the things I really hate about our OF, the LF and RF guys have a bad habit of calling off the CF... I don't like it and it shouldn't happen.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Yeah, I saw that he left with the bases juiced in the 5th. They took him out due to pitch count. It'll be interesting to see if they recall him before the 20 days are up.

I didn't see the one today, but centre field should have prevalence.
