AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Keep Nestor Cortes Jr. (I assume that's Nasty Nestor). Dump everyone else. Probably someone better on the waiver wire.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 20-team dynasty, pretty good team and I have a bunch of shitbags to round my rotation out with. Please keep two: Nasty Nestor Cueto Wacha Cole Irvin Yarbrough Kwang-hyun Kim Nestor Wacha

Please keep two: Nasty Nestor Cueto Wacha Cole Irvin Yarbrough Kwang-hyun Kim Nestor for sure. Kim or Irvin MIGHT be marginally interesting.

Please keep two: Nasty Nestor Cueto Wacha Cole Irvin Yarbrough Kwang-hyun Kim If you have any starters in their 30's that ended the year on the DL you should try moving him first. Might be able to get a draft pick or something out of him. That'll open up another spot so you could keep 3 in theory.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Volpe or Mayer? Who do you hate more, Sox or Yanks?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Volpe or Mayer? Probably doesn't really help. However, I suspect Mayer will stay with the Red Sox and hit at Fenway and in the AL East. The Yankees have two highly rated SS and Volpe is their best trade piece. I think no guarantee Volpe stays a Yankee and could end up in Oakland or somewhere like that....

Could easily see Volpe headline an Olson trade.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Thinking about moving Robert in BORED: Kelenic Lux Ian Anderson Pick 1-3 Pretty fair I think Or to my kid: Carroll Thomas Detmers Kirby.. maybe a late 1st too? Thoughts?
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 I have Nick Gonzales and have an offer for Brujan or Cade Cavalli. Which of the 3 would you prefer?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Gonzales, Cavalli and Brujan... As spec SPs go, Cavalli is one of my favorite...

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Still trying? lol My kid turned me down on Bogey. Going to approach him with said deal if Orgking or whatever doesn’t bite. Wanted to kind of announce it so it’s not taken as sketchy.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Volpe or Mayer? Volpe, higher potential
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 I just took over another Dynasty team. For position players it has: C: Will Smith 1st: Bellinger 2nd: Albies SS: Bogaerts 3rd: Devers OF: Yelich OF: Julio Rodriguez OF: Gurriel UI: Witt Jr U: Reyes I'm trying to upgrade at 1st partly because I don't know if Bellinger will bounce back and if so, he's good for OF. Would you do Witt Jr. For Torkelson deal straight up? This is a points league so I'm thinking Tork could provide more value to this team?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 You guys think the DH for the NL is going to unleash the Lewin Diaz monster this year?

Yes, Tork may be a generational fantasy bat, I'd do it seeing as you have the Boogeyman. P.S. Upgrade Yelich, I think he's toast.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 You guys think the DH for the NL is going to unleash the Lewin Diaz monster this year? The guy who barely hit at AAA at 24 last year?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 The guy who barely hit at AAA at 24 last year? Need to look deeper. wRC+ at AAA was 121. With a .246 BABIP and 19.5% K rate. Projections give him a MLB wRC+ between 92 and 100, with ~15 HR in ~300 PA. Not too shabby for a guy with a lot of power and just getting his feet wet.

Upgrade Yelich, I think he's toast. He actually turned down the offer. I really wanted Torkelson for 1st. Would you offer Bogaerts for Torkelson based on the team I have, considering that have Witt for SS? Also, is Witt expected to stay at SS? I read somewhere that he may move to 3rd?
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Are there any pitchers out there this year that you can see having the same kind of breakout as Webb, Ranger Suarez, Baz, and Monaoh had last year?

New drafts and taking on new teams is the fun part. Daily maintenance through the season of 5+ leagues can become a grind. Pace yourself.

Maine Jays Verified Member Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 I have the second pick of the new player draft (18 team dynasty) and both Mayer and Leiter are still available (the guy with the first pick went non-prospect). My SS depth chart is Tatis, Luciano, and Austin Martin while my SP isn't where I'd like it to be, but I'm leaning Mayer strictly as a trade asset. Thoughts?
