Convo Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hendricks lucky bastard 1.69 ERA 6.63 FIP 6.15 xFIP Yeah he got lucky, but can we get rid of the reporting of the FIP/xFIP after single game performances and just judge what we see instead?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I'd like to see Bautista get picked off doing that

Same with using single game BABIP to say a pitcher got unlucky. Pretty every time a pitcher gives up a bunch of hits in a game you could say they were unlucky based on BABIP.

Convo Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Why its useful? It shows you a more realistic outline of what you might expect next time. I think Henriks did get some luck tonight. The ball was up and that won't play well in this ballpark. I disagree, using any compiled stat from one game is not telling of anything.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 wtf? smoking hot blonde sandwiched between a fatty and an old lady
VegaBond Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Thats a ball Gose easily could've caught.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Am I the only one who thinks Gose should be in CF right now?
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Who the hell is this caveman Norris?
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 One of the better UMPS we've seen in awhile.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Am I the only one who thinks Gose should be in CF right now? apparently not.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Fine look at his career numbers and tell me what you see. Dudes 25...
Convo Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Fine look at his career numbers and tell me what you see. You're acting like I'm trying to favor his start based on only giving up one run, this is completely wrong.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 double play / strike out - coming right up
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 The f*** does age have to do with his advanced numbers? Hes just a guy. Ride a hot streak if such hot streak translates to the majors. He can improve....seriously do I need to explain this to you? Either way, using stats based off 1 start = dum. That's the point.
