It's very easy to alter/hide your IP although I'm surprised Metallijay could figure it out.

Proxies are annoying. I doubt anyone would bother, else they really need to get a life.

Yeah if you have to go out of your way to mask your IP just so your e-buddies on a small blue jays site won't recognize you...you are sad

Hope this guy becomes our '2005 Aaron Small on the Yankees' for us...

Or this years Aaron Harang. We need a starter to stay in this and a little luck.

Or, better yet, stop worrying about everyone's identity and just learn, share information, and have fun. If someone is a problem, deal with it, regardless of who they may or may not have been in a past message board life.

The next mention (after my own, of course - I'm exempt due to my overwhelming value) of banning someone, or accusing someone of being someone else, should itself be a bannable offense.

I'm guessing you have 2-3+ accounts here.

Why on earth are we trying to "guess" who is/was who on this board [using multiple accounts]? Admins/mods should be able to just check their IP... this is not rocket science.

If someone is on DSL, it's pretty normal for them to get different IP addresses fairly regularly and blocking all of Bell's (for example) IP ranges would take a toll on a Jays board.

Where has this "Dickey needs the dome closed" nonsense come from? He won a cy young pitching outside for new york.

That's exactly what I think every time I hear this. If it's a beautiful day, and another 5,000 will come out because of the weather factor, screw the closed dome. Aces learn to pitch in all sorts of environments.

Ace, bwahahahahaha.

Sorry. That's losing streak bitter.

Have they even said dome will be open tonight for sure? Would be the first time this season right?

Yes in the National League in an extreme pitchers park.

And? The knuckler is no better dome opened or closed, it's baloney. He was always going to get hit more here due to better lineups, ballpark, but open or closed has zero to do with it. It's marginal at best.

Its 15 degrees right now and possibility of rain is 50%. They will close the dome.

well that's just it. people that troll with multiple accounts have no life. plenty of time to hide your IP when you have no life.

Agreed, it's ruining any discussion, it's like they are obsessed, they won't shut up about it in every thread, that's why I had to ignore them, game changer for me :). How foolish they are when they realize they have me mistaken with someone else, first time I have ever been treated like this on any forum.

Hmm... yes you're right, if you power off and on you will sometimes get a new IP, not sure the frequency. Though the IP would still be similar since it's part of the same subnet.

Run and a half difference is not marginal at best lol. Even if it is in his head it still exists. He pitches much better with roof closed during his Blue Jays career.

Sample size.

LoL Sample size is pretty large. You really are a dundie!

Large? Maybe i'm wrong but how many times has he pitched in a dome, being in the national league until last year? Thanks for the insult, mature. Not a large sample size to me at all.

I agree with this comment. Having someone new come to the board and be accused of being someone else incessantly can, and most probably, will drive them away. Everyone on the board is not on an even footing with respect to baseball knowledge so some will post what may come across as a troll-able offence. Even if it is the same person from a previous board, people can change. If not, then the Admins deal with it accordingly.
