scottishbluejay Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Hi all, as you are aware I'm fairly new to Toronto and the Jays. Just wondering where you'd recommend for watching the Jays play when they are away? I've been to Gretzky (bit over priced), Hoops, Tobys, Hurricanes, Shoeless Joes and Clintons for Hockey games. Might head out tonight a grab a few beers tonight and watch the game.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Every bar is going to playing Rangers and Montreal. Might be a tv on the way to the bathroom with the Jays game on. Except that they don't play at the same time.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 f*** good thing you told me. I just assumed it would be a night game. Saturday night hockey on CBC is usually a thing. Yeah, American TV money gets first dibs. Games starts at 1.

fapaholic Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'm no judge of what great sports bars are around, but the Loose Moose used to be ok. ( haven't been there in a while) Even Jack Astors has a lot of screens around. Both at front & university. Plenty of other places nearby too. Don't forget about the NBA playoffs as there's a game at 9 pm.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 There is this place called The Brass Rail at the Church-Wellesley Village area. Check it out. You're sure to find some nice views there. Their breakfast buffet is second to none as well. OP I second this recommendation.
