I would agree. He seems like the rah rah type and seemed really popular with the club. Don't see how anyone could see it any other way... His issue was being an arrogant douche with media and fans..

You sure you're not overreacting to a single season of decent framing numbers? Before last year he was pretty awful behind the plate in all aspects.

He has turned out to be above average at framing. He has worked on it and improved every year. I give him credit for that. He just can't hit.

 

Also.terrible at throwing guys out at 2B.

 

Game caller? Don't know but my guess is not very good.

Game calling may be the important one. Throwing guys out is generally more on the pitcher than C.

Yep. Polar opposite of Buerhle, who apparently doesn't even read the scouting reports on hitters. He just throws what the catcher calls for.
