reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Pathetic loss Why is it pathetic? You need to relax.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Tough game. Garret Richards is nasty. Let's start a new win streak tomorrow..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 That and Boston's offense is struggling badly. Buchholz is struggling again, giving up 6 ER on 10 hits.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Tomorrow should be better. Garret Richards is probably their best pitcher. Using xFIP, the Angels next three starters are: Skaggs 4.04 Weaver 4.14 Wilson 3.28 Next two games are winnable with two mediocre Angels starters.. and we'll have Buehrle on Monday most likely vs. Wilson.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 This game's not on Gibbons, but his bullpen management continues to be suspect. I'm not sure Santos should've gone out for the 7th, but he certainly should've been taken out after the IBB to Pujols. He was approaching 30 pitches and it would've given Delabar a little bit of wiggle room, especially since everyone but Gibbons knows he struggles with command. Arguably, it should've been Cecil coming in, but I can live with bringing in Delabar. The offense certainly didn't have a good game, but they were facing a tough pitcher in Richards and that idiot Hernandez certainly didn't help matters calling strikes 6 inches off the outside corner to left-handed hitters. Anyway, a split would be good.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Pathetic loss I just got back from the Skydome and I agree. The bullpen didn't seem to want to throw strikes and offense didn't seem to show any patience. This was a winnable game and we threw it away.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Doesn't help that Garret Richards is good at K'ing everyone and preventing hits.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Att: 21,383 for last nights game. Pretty disappointing.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Angels haven't contended since the Yanks won the World Series in 2009. And the Angels haven't been a contending team in several years.
flafson Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 We actually did much better against Richards than his previous starts.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 So when does a foul ball, constitute as one? In the air? What's a balk? What's a Fielders choice? Uhmmmmm.....there's A few more tool. WTF are you talking about idiot?
