Don't forget Royals/Mariners. We're tied with Seattle for a wild card right now.

lol... no offense but no one cares about being tied for the wild card spot in May when the division is up for grabs.

Jays doing double duty here...bringing the true Phils out and bringing a Cliff Lee or Chase Utley trade into play, and keeping themselves in the weakest division in baseball.

might add that the Jays are now 3-0 without Lawrie in the lineup...and now over the past three years it's

Can always catch the last 4 innings of that game after the O's - Rays game.

Don't know if you're being facetious or not so just speaking generally, I really hate it when people use these WOWY stats in baseball. Means like nothing. Hockey, there are limitations, and it's okay in basketball, but it's pretty terrible in baseball.

So at what point do the Blue Jays end up "shrinking" Stroman's pitch counts to the point where he would need to be stretched out again?

I really don't like this idea of him pitching 1 inning here another inning there. Like tonight, I would've preferred that he finish the game.

Anyway...

Was thinking this as well... but as long as he's a reliever, they need to play him like a reliever... you don't want to over-work him just to keep him stretched out, because you may need him on back-to-back games to come in as relief. Unless maybe they make him a long man that only pitches every 3rd-4th game or so... but we haven't really needed that lately.

This is where I have a problem with the move to the bullpen. I don't know how this helps. The more short outings he has, the farther away from starting he gets.

Anyway, we'll have to wait and see.

As long as the org has some false allegiance to JA Happ he's going to be in the bullpen (or unless McGowan starts faltering).

Yeah, although I get that Happ's value was basically at 0 and they may be hoping to trade him and not have to eat his $. On the other hand, they should've just left Stroman at Buffalo pitching every 5th day.

Anyway, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I am being facetious. It's a stat I love to throw out when a position player gets hurt and the "it's the end of the world" types get freaked out. I do love to point out negatives about Lawrie to get those that suck his nutsack rattled though.

What pitch is this? Either is has too much break to be a slider or that's the nastiest slider since Lidge

I must've derped, cause I never knew he through a change-up THAT good. We've always heard he had a great FB/Slider combo.

But man that is one nasty change-up.

This is a beautiful offense! If our pitching can be at least average we might be able to sneak a wildcard spot. P.S The O's pitching is bound to fall off a cliff here soon. They are not this good.

That low plane of delivery doesn't really look like an issue does it?

Is that low? High? I actually have no idea what a league average HR/9 is. It's not a stat I pay much attention to. I know it takes a good long while to stabilize.

"High" my bro.
