• Not much to say, but Happ is 2-0 with a 2.19 ERA in two starts against the Phillies while the Phillies own a .287 BAA against lefties this season.
  
• Jose Bautista has reached base in every game for the longest such streak to begin a season since Cincinnati's Joey Votto did it for the first 33 in 2011.
  
• The Blue Jays' bullpen entered play on Sunday with the second-worst WHIP in the Major Leagues at 1.56. They also had the second-worst walks per nine innings with 4.98 and the fifth-worst home run total of 12. Last year, Toronto had the ninth-lowest WHIP (1.23).
  

 

Phillies:

• Kendrick owns a 4.87 ERA in his last 12 starts. He is 0-1 with a 6.91 ERA in three outings against the Blue Jays.
  
• Cole Hamels pitches Tuesday against the Blue Jays. He had been scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Nationals but was scratched because of the flu.
  
• The Phillies had a major league-worst 5.53 ERA in interleague games a year ago and fared worse in their lone AL series this year with a 5.96 ERA in losing two of three at Texas to open the season.
