Because HR BB and K all tell you a lot about what the pitcher did in one game. Way more so than runs scored/ERA.

 

Sure, in one game. If a guy doesn't have a key pitch working like D-Mac's slider tonight, one game stats are going to reflect that.

 

What I take from this game is D-Mac has been effective without his K pitch working.

 

He's bought himself a few more starts, no one can refute that.
