Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I am very happy happy we have him. He's critical to the team. But he's pitching over his head right now. I don't think he is pitching over his head at all. He has been saved from some great defensive plays. It will all balance out over the course of the season, but a good start is going to make his overall season look a hell of a lot better by seasons end. This is vintage Buehrle.

Actually that's a good point. That one 12K day was out of character for sure, but today he's getting acceptable contact and the D is making outs. That's what he does.
Convo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 The funny thing about Buehrle is his velocity is the lowest it's ever been.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Raps 57 - 61 Nets 3:04 3Q They've been 2-5 points behind all game.

When you have great defense supporting you a guy like Buehrle pitches differently . while I'm sure he will have some off days there is no reason he can't have another very good season

He relies on good D and if this team can play like this all year, he is going to have some great games.

It's all you can ask. I can see a 220 IP 3.75 ERA season brewing here. Love it.
Ash70 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 another 2+ runs please, guys. Lets go Jays.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I love how quiet, then explosive Melky is at the plate
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I could go for a Bautista solo Jack here
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Jesus that was ripped foul. This game is actually really fast thus far, loving the pace especially thanks to MB
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Nets running away with it 67-59
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Hutchison ceiling = Corey Kluber?
Convo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Encarnacion should have way more RBI considering Bautista is basically getting OB half the time
kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Man I would love to see EE crank one here
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I didn't know where scrabble had gone but there he is
