protection not beneficial? Jose getting zero pitches to see and wont while no being Jose is hitting well enough to scare anyone. Jose being on base all the time only to be left there is not beneficial.

 

EE needs to rake. If Ed hits 30 hr Jose will get more pitches to hit. if Ed hits 15 Jose will walk 250 times and get LOB 200 times.

Getting more walks is exactly what you want. Not getting pitches to see is a good thing.

 

it is is everyone is doing that, but once you get past ed, the lineup aint that good. too many guys making horrible outs to think walks are a good thing. Jays are killing it when it comes to LOB. But that's a negative stat. Teams are not afraid to get a couple of the top guys on base because they know we have nothing in the back half of our lineup.
