o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 ugly win is always better than an ugly loss. going to need a CG win tomorrow. pen is toast
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Wow, that ball was crushed by Brantley. 2 feet to the left or right and we lose.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Cards fan here, Brantley should have aimed that line drive better. What a moron! Lol
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 That's not the type of appearance that raises someones confidence. so what you banish him to the Esmil Rogers' place?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Cards fan here, Brantley should have aimed that line drive better. What a moron! Is Rasmus a true cardinal?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 so what you banish him to the Esmil Rogers' place? How about we stop using him as a "closer" and just play the matchups? Start the inning with Santos and have Loup ready for a LH

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 LoL... Double should have been caught if the defenders were positioned correctly. He than made quick work of both Bourn and Swisher. Got ahead of Kipnis 0-2 completely fooling him. And then Kipnis some how laid off some impossible pitches. Inning could have been much easier. Laid off some impossible pitches? It was a good at bat from Kipnis but Santos couldn't find the zone. No brainer to take some of those. We should've lost this game.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 todd Redmond would do a better job than Santos. he's a disaster. sounded like he was having a panic attack in his post game interview.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I say make Cecil the closer and give Cecil's job to Loup How about nobody is the closer? Gibby is going to have to start trusting his starters to give him more innings. Hutch could've gotten out of that situation tonight and given them another few outs. You cannot run your pen out there for 4 innings a night.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Is Rasmus a true cardinal? If Colby was a "True Cardinal", he would still be a member of the class of the NL Central. With that said, the answer is obviously a "no".

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Loup as designated Loogy. now that's absurd. he's been nails against RH and LH. why would you make him a 1 batter pitcher??

Delebar/Santos/Cecil all closer material so it could work if we play the matchup

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I don't know what the hell happened in this game, but it looks like Drew Hutchison looked studly tonight. Confirm or deny?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 True Cardinals get along with their HOF managers. Qualifications of a True Cardinal: 1. Know how to play for your HOF managers. 2. Aim those line drives! Colby Rasmus is clearly the "Anti-True Cardinal". Every time I watch Colby play the game of baseball, he can't seem to aim his line drives. People call it "unlucky", I call it being a f***ing moron. He has no desire to win. When you put on that red bird uniform, it should be an honour and a privilege. Colby takes his spot in CF with his stupid look on his face all the time, and half asses his routes on balls in CF. The man does not have "the will to win" at all. Oh and let's not forget that after Colby was traded, the Cardinals went on to win the world series only 3 months later. Getting rid of that clubhouse problem child was a huge factor in the Cardinals eventually becoming world champions.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 We didn't lose though. Pitchers have bad streches. Santos is going through one. Hes a good reliever. Stop jumping off a cliff everytime someone struggles. We didn't lose, but we clearly should've lost.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I don't know what the hell happened in this game, but it looks like Drew Hutchison looked studly tonight. Confirm or deny? Indeed, lots of swings and misses, solid fastball command, and the offspeed was on.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I don't know what the hell happened in this game, but it looks like Drew Hutchison looked studly tonight. Confirm or deny? Cruising until the 6th until he gave up a HR and Gibby pulled him after a triple was hit against him with one out. Very good performance. Promising.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 2. #TWTW. This is a Hawk/CWS thing. Stop.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I don't know what the hell happened in this game, but it looks like Drew Hutchison looked studly tonight. Confirm or deny? Looked good, love watching him pitch. If I had my druthers, this rotation would have Hutchison, Stroman and Nolin by June, but that's just me. Getting back to Hutch, he got unlucky in the 6th inning 'cause Kipnis got on base for Santana's homer on an IF single that bounced high off the plate. Absent that IF hit, things could've been different as he may have pitched Santana differently. One thing he needs to improve is the pitch count, but tonight it was partly 'cause of the strikeouts and one long AB by Murphy.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 This is a Hawk/CWS thing. Stop. Yikes a Hawk reference ugh.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I don't know what the hell happened in this game, but it looks like Drew Hutchison looked studly tonight. Confirm or deny? Hutch was awesome. Jays had a few opportunities to cash in with runners in scoring position but they didn't come through. They probably should have lost that game considering Brantley destroyed that final pitch (last out).
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 This is a Hawk/CWS thing. Stop. Hey btw, Can you send me a PM on what you would want for one of your catchers (off board league)? Thanks. I know you sent me an email earlier but I think I deleted it.
