fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 @SNBarryDavis: Rasmus left game with tight hamstring. Happened on running catch. Says it's not too bad and hopes to be fine for Tues. #bluejays
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 and here comes the floodgates, first Izzy now Rasmus
Flamingweazel Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Ugh, come om baseball gods, it is tiem to leave the Jays alone and let them have a fairly injury free season.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I bet it's nothing. He had no problem continuing to play afterwards. Probably being cautious more than anything.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 @LottOnBaseball: On Markakis drive in 5th, Rasmus lunged to make catch and felt left hamstring “kind of grab.” Hopes it’ll be OK with off-day tomorrow.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 And now that Kawasaki is coming, we will have a combo of Diaz/Sierra as 4th OF.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Hamstrings are iffy, we'll see how he feels tomorrow.
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Overreaction to the max. true, but understandable with this team
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Overreaction to the max. AT WORST, he'll be out until beginning of May. I think he's fine though.
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Gose on standby for Tuesday I bet.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I think they should play it safe and rest him in Minny at least.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 He probably injured himself playing too shallow.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I think they should play it safe and rest him in Minny at least. Even if he's day to day, not in DL but needs a few days off, I wouldn't mind flipping Sierra for Gose and giving Gose some starts in CF. It's a good time to do it.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I'd sit Rasmus for the Minnesota series or at leas the first game or two.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Did the Jays not learn from Reyes? Rest hammys 15 day dl him and go with gose
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Good one I'd thanks you but I can't. I'd bet it was cramping. Colby had a couple really long runs to get to fly balls, a HR and a double. he was probably dehydrated and cramped up. probably an IV for a few hours and then be fine for Tuesday

Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 3 wind sprints and a jog over the span of 3 hours really tires a guy out and takes all the fluids out of him. Lol
