The Prospects/Minor league subforum doesn't get a lot of traffic, and some feel the threads there would get more participation if they were brought in to the main forum.

 

Should we keep it separate or not?

Personally, I think we should scrap it

 

We need an OT forum for sure and I like the way that one runs

 

However, the Prospects/Minor league subforum doesn't get much traffic, and some posters (myself included) rarely go there. Proponents say that they want to keep in separate, and that having good threads will draw traffic there, but ti's just not happening. More importantly, sometimes a significant happening in the minors occurs, and many won't know because it's only being discussed in there.

 

Now, I don't wan't 20 more threads in the main forum. I think keeping it lean would be good. Have 1 ongoing thread for the upcoming draft. Have one continuous running thread for day to day farm system team/player results. Etc.

Isn't it very likely that the Kalfus idiots ... all of them ... are alternate personas of current board members, and will just continue to rear their silly little heads under new aliases, since they obviously get a kick out of what they're nonsensically doing?

IMO the best course of action would be to get the website's prospect content going full throttle. Move the daily discussion to the comments on those articles and make threads in the main forum for big topics.

Just add a Kalfus sub-forum if you're going to remove the prospects sub-forum. Problem fixed.

About an eighth of this forum's traffic is the Kalfus thread. That wouldn't be good for overall board health.

That's a bad idea... There are 7 or 8 posters here who signed up to discuss Kalfus, and they really like him as a player. The Kalfus thread is good for them to discuss without having to bother other people. If you Nuke the Kalfus thread, the discussion will proceed to go all over the place....and then you will have a huge war.

 

Not if Hurl, Chappy and I ban people for messing up other threads with Kalfus nonsense.

Anyway, it doesn't bother me which way it gets taken. I suggest that if you delete the thread, you may as well ban the rest of them because they might just cause problems in other threads lol

Dude, the only reason the Kalfus thread silliness has gone on this long is because it's hidden in the sub forum and no one really cares.

Nobody has enough time to control all of those accounts. It'd be a level of dedication beyond the Dogg/Zee act. Plus, what would be the point.

 

It's legitimately 7-8 people IMO. Maybe even people close to Kalfus... his personal friends could have found it amusing and hopped in.

I voted no. I would change my vote to yes if you promise this. There would be no need for that thread to be at the top straight time.

Joking aside, for those who haven't looked at it, there are 7-8 accounts who seem to post in that thread ONLY. Either a group honestly dedicated to promoting him, or 1-2 guys with a bunch of accounts who are only dedicated to being annoying.

 

I'll see what Admin can figure out about the accounts before we do anything.

I think it would be a good idea to have a new MiLB GDT/Recap/update all in one each day. It's be similar to the MLB GDT, it'll go away when it's not recent any more.

I make them everyday in the prospect subforum but it's usually me talking to myself lol

 

I am not going to lie it is usually an over sight by me to go in there.

I used to be in favor of the sub-forum, but recently I've only been frequenting the main forum and that's how I'm likely going to do it from now on, as with many others.

I'm now in favor of having everything in here.
