Jays: Jose Reyes's MRI showed only an inflammation in his hamstring, and he is hopeful to return in the middle of April. He missed 30 games in total, 2 different 15-day DL stints, with the Mets in 2012 with the same injury. Johnny Diaz's RBI single in the 4th was his first career hit, which came in his second at bat after reaching base for his first time in his career with a walk. He also had his first faceplant of his MLB career, big day for him lol The Blue Jays' 19 consecutive non-winning series streak at Tropicana Field is at 19 right now, which is the longest active streak of it's kind since the Rays in Fenway Park from 2000-05 (25 straight series!). Rays: Matt Joyce is 4-for-5 with a pair of walks in his club's first two games. He has reached base or driven in a run in eight of his nine plate appearances. Desmond Jennings has three doubles in the first two games of the season. He joins Vinny Castilla (2001) as the only Rays to achieve the feat. On a side note he's 6-12 against Buehrle in his career. The Rays have taken every series at the Trop since April 6-8, 2007 with the Rays taking 19 of the next 20 series and splitting a 4 game series once. The Rays' 148 wins against the Jays (and their 83 wins at home vs. the Jays) are the most against any MLB team for the Rays. Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs!

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Both lineups are gross after 4. True Dat
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Want to watch but work meeting AND a teleconference after that. Oh well, MLB At Bat will have to do
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 I don't like our lineup at all. No Kratz
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I don't like our lineup at all. Its a little thing but Reyes makes that lineup a lot more balanced against LHP
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Why on earth is Lawrie batting behind Sierra?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Anyone else feel like a Jennings bomb is pretty much inevitable tonight? Guy has been crushing the ball. Nope!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Management seems to be under the impression that Sierra is a good hitter. Nelson Cruz 2.0 minus the PEDs

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Anyone else feel like a Jennings bomb is pretty much inevitable tonight? Guy has been crushing the ball. It'll definitely happen tomorrow
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 It'll definitely happen tomorrow No, Friday please!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Switch Lawrie and Rasmus and the lineup makes sense. Rasmus batting 2nd against Moore is ridiculous
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Stop. Sierra bandwagon tickets are on sale!
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sierra bandwagon tickets are on sale! The Sierra hate is out of control
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sierra is the next Bautista Same arm, same power Just needs to perfect the leg kick

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sierra bandwagon tickets are on sale! I'll buy one
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Didn't get much of an opportunity to watch either of the first two games, so I'm excited to watch some ball tonight.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Not sure why Rasmus is 2nd again, but maybe he'll have a good game. I want to see Lawrie and Eddy do something tonight!
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Nelson Cruz 2.0 minus the PEDs What's your fascination with Moises? I hate that butcher.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Or we can hope it's to show Jack Z that he can be a 6 hitter and he should deal Franklin for him. AA "My right-handed power hitter (Sierra) for you versatil Abraham Almonte" Jack Z "Franklin is available for the same price" AA " We have the 2B of our future called Ryan Goins....Send me the Almonte guy"
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Management seems to be under the impression that Sierra is a good hitter. No homer tonight, he'll hit the wall once or twice, but just not enough. He's saving the special first for Morrow.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sierras a non-guy. He can't field a position which cripples his value, and there isn't any use wasting 300 PAs to figure out that he can't hit at the major league level. His only + tool is his arm. A DH who can't hit is a useless POS. Convert him to a reliever, Sergio Santos style. .... I'll see myself out before I get run over by the bandwagon train rolling through here. Are you going to all of the games?
bronson44 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Didn't we hit Bautista 2nd a bunch last year? Not sure why we didn't just move everybody up.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Didn't we hit Bautista 2nd a bunch last year? Not sure why we didn't just move everybody up. 'cause the tail will be more large. Lawrie was the man for that spot.

He's not gonna get 300 at bats unless melky or Batista get hurt, he's facing only lefties
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
