I can't think of anyone better to throw out the first pitch.

 

Maybe AA will catch the first pitch and pull a Baylor...but with his heart instead of leg. Killing AA would be Halladay's last great thing he gives this team.

Sadly he may have a better bat than both Diaz and Goins...

 

izzy at least has major league experience and could have a bounce back season...there's no way goins and diaz should be in the lineup together. We should be signing drew, but in a best case scenario if reyes is back in a couple weeks we should have izzy in the lineup every day with goins and diaz splitting time...not izzy splitting time with diaz.

I don't understand why Goins couldn't play SS and Kawasaki or Getz play 2B. Why is it so damn important to keep Goins at 2B even to the point of calling up a possibly even worse hitter to play SS? If the team doesn't have faith in Goins' glove, why is he even here?

I think you have them backwards though lol. Goins to SS. Saki at 2nd. And Drew to 2nd, not Reyes.

 

Reyes has no range at SS anymore. Also, isn't Goins better at 2B defensively? His bat would suck anywhere. We all know that.

Isn't Kawasaki better at SS though? Idk. I guess you can mix and match them anyway you want because none of them can hit well. Either way, Drew must be signed if they intend on staying competitive beyond today.
