I prefer Tigers-Royals of the 1 pm games. Love watching James Shields pitch and they're two good intra-divisional teams to begin with. If the outcome of the Jays game gets ruined for me I'll probably watch that on archive.

Sure the guy hit well last year, but that was in under 250 AB.

 

Being a switch hitter should be irrelevant. Lawrie & Rasmus should be before Navarro.

Not at all a fan of Navarro being in the 5 spot. Whether or not you believe in the stat, Rasmus was far and away our most clutch hitter with men on base last year and should be batting behind EE. Lawrie even. I know it's just game 1 but I thought Sierra's role on the team was to be the DH against LHs? If not what purpose does he serve on the roster?

Navarro >> Lind against LHP. That's the right call.

 

yeah, but there was a definite improvement with lind v. LHP throughout the spring. i was looking forward to seeing how he'd carry that into the regular season.

Been hitting well in pre-season. Looks solid so far. You never know what youre getting from Lawrie, Rasmus too many k's.

Price is not the guy to try against lol. Price has a fairly large split against L. 3.02 xFIP vs. L, 3.68 xFIP vs. R in his career.

 

Agreed. I don't have issue with them giving Lind another chance against average lefties, but Price isn't the one to test the waters on.
