nice double play, lawrie to goins

Beautiful play by both guys

Most infields don't make that play on a slowish chopper

Yeah they're all just watching it

I still hold out hope he'll wind up with 2-3 plus pitches over the next year or two and be a good MLB pitcher

He has a good fastball and curve he just needs to be able to be in the strike zone consistently. I think if he fine tunes his command he is a good 2-3 type pitcher.

I still hold out hope he'll wind up with 2-3 plus pitches over the next year or two and be a very good MLB pitcher

When he can throw that big bender for a strike when he wants to, then the K's will come. In this game it is missing the zone too much for guys to offer at it. right now its all 2 seamers in on righties jamming them. but its not a really a strikeout pitch.

A little word of advice kid. If you're going to comment on somebody's wife, keep it on an Internet message board, which you little dweebs are already aware of. We're arguing baseball, no need to get people's family members involved right?

It was a joke

I'll take that bet?!

I'm serious Gruber92, I'll take this bet, 50?

I'll take this as insurance policy that Dickey does well this year. OK, you're on.

Minimum Starts at 16 sound fair, in case of injury?

Make it 20 so we can get a more accurate statistical outcome.

Lol.. Seriously though, 20 starts minimum?

And Sanchez had said that he had fixed his curve, from something that he couldn't control in the zone, to something with less break, but more command.

Yay, Blue Jays player development.

it was just a comment on how his curveball looked today, I haven't seen him pitch on tv other than today and another early spring game, so I don't think you can say he can't control it at this point. I would say he threw about 5 curves, some really dropped to the ground (sweet break) and a couple didn't break as much and looked like what you described and they just missed high.

My point was once he gets that "sweet break" one in the zone he will be a K an inning pitcher and likely lower his bb/9. From what i've seen him do in spring training, he just gets out of any trouble by running that 2 seamer in on the righties, but could be K'ing a few more if they had to swing at that curve.

Regarding RA Dickey's poor performance, it was more due to the strong wind today (15 mph) going left to right, which affected Dickey's knuckleball. He won't have this problem in his first 2 starts in Tampa and Toronto, with the roof closed in Toronto.

I never said I don't agree with them, I just don't live and die by them. The human element has and always will be an important part of the assessment process.

You are on the wrong forums for that stuff.....

What YOU think is just a fantasy.

Geez, did Dickey pitch in hermetically sealed ball parks when he was a Met and a Cy Young pitcher? With TO a bird farts and his ERA goes north of 7.

What do you mean appear/listed?

He was on the bench on the lineup card. Wondering if he got in the game at all. Expect not.

Seems like Spanky has no problem taking yours?!

So witty. Looked who thanked your post, the other 15 year old birthday money recipients. Lol, I miss those days.
