Media in Toronto did nothing but paint JPA in a great light for 2 years. I think he's confusing media with intelligent fans

Zaun and Heyhurst hurt his fee fees over the course of like... a month. Out of his entire tenure in Toronto (for most of which Zaun was verbally fellating his "young Padewan")

Not once did any media member attack his character.... Then he says all that about how he spends all that time on charity work and then the media turns him into " a monster " what kind of delusional ego trip is he on?

WHy is he still going on about this?

I wonder if he's going to talk about this incident and his time with Toronto a few years down the line while he's toiling away in the minors.

It's funny how apt this thread title still is

He's apparently running off his mouth today in pre game press according to Tim and Sid

Or maybe they were referring to previous comments. Will delete that if so.

Former Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia said Saturday that unfavourable media coverage in Toronto contributed to the organization’s decision to release him at the end of last season.

“I learned the media controls a lot of things and the only question that you guys were writing in the off-season was what they were going to do behind the plate, when obviously the pitching was something that needed to be addressed,” he told the Star after taking batting practice. “But I was the only question because I was the villain of the team.”

The sad thing about this is that the organization might have released him for looking bad on the media instead of being a terrible baseball player.

There's no chance that happened. He sucked, plain and simple.

Rangers call up Arencibia to play first base - J.P. Arencibia

You gotta be kidding me.. and they're doing it before the Jays series. Can't wait to see him K a ton this weekend vs. the Jays. And you wonder why Nolan Ryan left this sinking ship of a Rangers franchise..

Omg I can't wait to see him strike out 6 times in the series. Or hit 6 dingers.

Who was the guy who thought JPA could be an above average 1B?
