TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Didn't see if anyone posted this (I'm sure it was) but Joe who's been coaching the Windsor Stars for a few years now, is taking over for Morris. I've met Joe several times at the Green and Gold Classic that I work at. He also is the nephew of my old HR manager. Interesting and super nice guy, lost his son less than a month ago (Kevin was the best pitcher at our tournament two years ago). He's an interesting choice for sure.

I was going to make a jab since I never heard of the guy.... The I read the part where he lost his son. Now I will route for him.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 it is interesting to go with a guy that so few have heard of (158 MLB PA's, he was an Expo which is why I always searched him out at OBA events) after last year trying so hard to look for a name guy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I didn't know his story but I did know he played in the major leagues. I won't listen to the radio a lot but hopefully it works out. We are going through radio guys on a yearly basis it seems. Yeah. It's probably not a particularly good gig. I listen on the radio quite a lot. In car. Mowing lawn. Etc. and I'd really like them to improve the team. I like Howarth a lot. But there's way too much Wilner. Alan Ashby was decent IMO and haven't really liked anyone else they've had. Hope this guy works out.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I really liked Ashby. Wilner, everything else aside, is not bad doing the play-by-play. Siddall is on with Blair right now. I'm pretty impressed with his knowledge.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Zaun doesn't tell it like it is, he tells it like he thinks it is, which is usually horribly incomplete and very one dimensional.
