same as Spanky. Pirates fan growing up.... still keep an eye on them.

 

I'll root for anyone playing against the Red sox or the Yankees.

The Bucs, I started playing watching baseball in 79', fell in love with baseball and the Pirates WS winners in 79' since. Geographically the Jays are my #1 and I pretty much like all other teams equally, just for the love of the game. C'mon hurry up and playball!!!!

 

That was a team. Candy man, Blyleven, Tekulve, Parker, Madlock. Tekulve had that funky delivery. I think we tried to get him in the 80s.

Why Rhoden? I remember that team for its overall staff. They basically had a 3 man bullpen. I think that team ran on coke though. Candelabra was a poor guy. Became an alcoholic after his kid drowned in the pool. It may have been at spring training.

I looked it up to remember, the kid drowned in the mid 80s. He was 2 years old. Very sad. That team had a ton of substance abuse issues. They were good but really high.
