While I like the way AA got creative to add this guy i don't get overly excited about 17 year olds in the DSL .the bust rate for these guys is probably at 80 to 90 % . I'll wait till I have seen these types play a year of full season ball at Lansing before getting all hyped about them

Anthopoulos undoubtedly has his shortcomings but stockpiling young, high-upside international talent is certainly not one of them. Five years from now, the handful of these kids that progress are going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Edit: On the other hand, until that day comes, watching King fap himself to death over them is going to be excruciating lol

Wel'll see. Marco Paddy left last year I think.

Two years ago actually, Urena and now Rodriguez being the notable signings since.

Obviously you're correct in suggesting that Paddy deserves to share the credit. However, as it's standard practice for the board to hold AA solely responsible for all blunders, I reserve to right to make absolute statements like this about every success. Otherwise I'm going to start picking executives to blame for the MIA and NYM trades lol

Paul Beeston. Paul Beeston. Paul Beeston.

There, I said it three times. *flies away and waits for Olerud post*

By the time I was 16, I was touching 90, with silly movement (though I was only 5'11" and, as it turns out, fully grown). Had a pretty good secondary arsenal, as well (though I refused to throw a change). I wasn't even getting college interest until later. Another recent kid from my old high school was a stud, on the prospect map since the time he was a sophomore, and was sitting above 90 mph then. Invited to most major showcases, and did well there. Could touch 95, but sat low 90's. Big kid - 6'5" and larger frame (for a pitcher). Wasn't even drafted, but did go to a big time college program, where he's waiting for his turn to pitch (got a few innings in and did well in SSS).

These kids are quite lucky to be pocketing $300k when they are likely to amount to nothing.

Cool story bro

With the 1st pick in the BJMB Sandlot Showdown, I select RHP Moogy.

Like we are naming you a captain. Admin won't even allow you to play as he can't afford that much of a post drop for 3 hours.

This Moogy/King fight reeks of broken dreams and I say Yonge and Bloor south side at midnight
