Brenner Verified Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Texas saves almost $40 mil in guaranteed money and get a good bullpen piece back (who they could keep longer if desired) and deal from a position of surplus. Depending on how they would have spent that money it could have worked well for them, probably on a 1B/DH.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Reyes, Kinsler, Bautista, Edwin, Lind, Lawrie, Rasmus, Melky, Navarro Sigh.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Anything that gets rid of Ricky and frees up 7.5M a year for 2 years is a steal Kinsler wouldnt free up any payroll. Obviously I'd do that deal though.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I don't blame you for wanting to sell Kinsler, what with that career .710 OPS away from Arlington.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 The Jays won't wait a 1/10th of a second longer than they have to before signing that $600,000 buyout cheque
