G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 So, it really hasn't been that bad with BM, he's hit the 60 day DL twice, a freak oblique strain in 12', and the nerve entrapment that killed his season last year, hmm....still bad, but not as bad as people make it out to be. In 08' he missed 2 starts, 09' he missed 3 and 1 in the minors, 10' he didn't miss any, and 11' he missed 3, it really isn't as bad as I thought, The real question is what's his innings limit, do they skip starts down the stretch if they're contending? This will be interesting to see how it unfolds. With the depth we have, skipping starts or an extra day of rest for him could work. Happ or Rogers could both move back and forth from rotation to BP if Morrow makes the rotation out of ST. That said, managers really don't like f'ing with the rotation that much and Gibby in specifically has a "if he's on the 25 man roster he's gonna pitch" mentality.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 People do tend to blow the injury thing with him out of the water. Last year was really the only year he missed a ton of time because of injury. His game starts over the last 4 years look like this: 26, 33, 26, 11. Last year was the outlier, I expect him to be healthy most of this year.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Hence, my post. I'm just hoping the nerve entrapment doesn't act up again, Dr. Andrews said there was no need for surgery, and he's the best in the biz. Dude that's who you should see about your back! (I can only imagine what he charges...)
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Also seems like he's the only one in the biz lol Hes seriously prob the closest thing to Santa Claus that you can be. Crazy the scope of work he somehow fits in from high school through pros in multiple sports without missing a beat. Also not like hes head of a law firm with 100 lawyers in multiple states doing the work.. He does himself Sometimes theres local specialists i make appointments with and they can be 5-8 weeks out.. And theyre local
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 True that, he's a busy man. He worked on RG3's knee in the NFL, he's filthy rich and good for him. Well earned. Although he is probably the last name any player really wants to here lol.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 a 2014 like 2013 and BM is in the BP CJ, D-Mac, BC, SD, and BM = unbeatable BP
