Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 The Nationals have the best SP, it shouldn't even be close. Would your stance change if the Dodgers signed Tanaka? (Kershaw/Greinke/Ryu/Tanaka/Haren)
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Would your stance change if the Dodgers signed Tanaka? (Kershaw/Greinke/Ryu/Tanaka/Haren) Yeah maybe, but Stras/Gio/Zimm/Fister is right there. I don't think much of Haren at this point and I think Tanaka is heading to the Yankees. I can't see Scherzer and Anibal being as good next year.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 And LOL @ the Rockies SP above the Cardinals... WTFF? The Rockies rotation is pure garbage.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 And LOL @ the Rockies SP above the Cardinals... WTFF? The Rockies rotation is pure garbage. That's actually the worst ranking I've ever seen. De La Rosa, Chacin, Nicasio, Anderson, Chatwood over Wainwright, Miller, Wacha, Kelly, Garcia/Lynn??? WTF, indeed.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Pagan Posey Belt Sandoval Pence Morse Scutaro Crawford P 1a/1b offence with the Angels. I don't trust Morse or belt. Sandoval and Pagan are nothing more then a solid bats and crawford is absolutely s*** with the bat. I'll give you Posey, scutaro and Pence as trustworthy guys

De La Rosa, Chacin, Nicasio, Anderson, Chatwood over Wainwright, Miller, Wacha, Kelly, Garcia/Lynn??? WTF, indeed. I'd actually take the Jays SP over the Rockies, and thats saying something. The Cards are a Top 5 rotation, easy.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I'd actually take the Jays SP over the Rockies, and thats saying something. The Cards are a Top 5 rotation, easy. The Rangers got way too much love for their rotation. I wouldn't have them in my top 5 (A LOT of question marks past Darvish/Holland) I would also have the Braves in my top 10. If Beachy stays healthy, Minor/Medlen/Teheran/Beachy make up a nasty front 4.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 It's just Steamer/Fangraphs! Oh haha I didn't even notice that. When I skimmed by it I thought it was all of Olney's top 10s.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Damn, the Braves have 4 solid SP2s.
LunchBox Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Damn, the Braves have 4 solid SP2s. Yeah no doubt. Teheran also has a little extra upside relative to the other three.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Damn, the Braves have 4 solid SP2s. Overrated, Minor and tehren are homer prone for most of their careers while pitching in a pitcher friendly park. I like minor and medlen though
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 And don't get me wrong I would take their four over our four any day
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My top 5 would be Tigers, Nats, Mariners, Dodgers, Cards in no particular order. 100% agreed
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 And don't get me wrong I would take their four over our four any day I'd take Medlen, Minor or Teheran over anybody in our rotation.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My top 5 would be Tigers, Nats, Mariners, Dodgers, Cards in no particular order. Nats Tigers Dodgers Cardinals Mariners EDIT: If they keep Price, the Rays are a very close 6th for me.
LunchBox Verified Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 EDIT: If they keep Price, the Rays are a very close 6th for me. I was thinking the same thing, but it's more like if they keep Price and Moore takes a step forward.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My top 5 would be Tigers, Nats, Mariners, Dodgers, Cards in no particular order. I'm not sure I'd put the Mariners that high this year. Another year or two though and I think they absolutely will be.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I'm not sure I'd put the Mariners that high this year. Another year or two though and I think they absolutely will be. Agreed, Mariners could have one of the best lineups in 1-3 years. Paxton, Walker, Maurer and a bunch of other pitching prospects will probably need more time. Although if they can put it together this year.. along with Iwak and Felix, could make up for some questionable D.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Danny Hultzen? I knew I was missing a top prospect
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 The Nationals have the best SP, it shouldn't even be close. Completely agreed. Don't think another rotation matches that top 4. Maybe the Giants if they had the old version of Tim Lincecum, though off the top of my head I can't think of anything else.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Felix, Iwakuma, Erasmo is already a really good top 3. Coupled with Walker and Paxton with Hultzen and Maurer in waiting is pretty awesome. Victor Sanchez coming up too.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Overrated, Minor and tehren are homer prone for most of their careers while pitching in a pitcher friendly park. I like minor and medlen though Lol @ "Teheran has been homer prone ALL of his career" ..its been a long one indeed.. I love JT. He's going to be stud.
